sleepless

nights are always so short four of the clock move into five body hot mind cold

where is sleep? that state like death so dear to me for a short time where is my mind? empty of all thoughts light into nothingness..

 

nothing worth mentioning white sheet white quilt white pillow white night white t-shirt so much white might change to black more in tune with the night will find my sleep if i find you without you no rest for the mind or the body memory is alone the night is populated with noises birds start their choruses wish they'd stop want silence and peace and white space for my soul like eternity is eternity white? is it black? is it brown? maybe it has no color where does it begin? where does it end? oh, it is all in the mind wait does the mind have a space of its own? is it me? is it you? is it us?
