My first set of photos with my new Olympus OM-D E-M10.

 

Like all Olympus' high end Pen and OM-D cameras, the E-M10 is a complex little beast and it took quite a while to get the camera customised to my liking. But now I have, I am finding the E-M10 a joy to work with.

 

And the kit lens with the E-M10 is an unexpected pleasure to work with too. Good image qualty and impressive close focusing capabilities make this tiny lens a great option when you want to keep wieght and size to a minimum.

 

A lot of people seem to have bought into the idea that you can't do shallow depth of field photograph with four thirds camera. This idea is based on the quite correct idea that the smaller your sensor the more depth of field you get and therefore the less bokeh you get.

 

But if you have bought into the idea that this means you can't get plenty of bokeh with 4/3 sensors then you have forgotten a number of important things.
