202:365 - Repairs...
There's an old engineering flowchart that's used to identify if things need repairing and how to go about it.
If it's supposed to move and it doesn't, then use WD40.
If it's not supposed to move and it does, then use duck tape.
Our router died this evening through the switch not being able to hold itself in the on position. Duck tape lasted about 10 minutes before the button lost contact and the router powered down.
As a slightly more permanent fix I yanked the back off it, removed the spring from the microswitch and superglued it in the on position.
Zero finesse... but it works.
