Trans-Vaginal Sonography

The most important innovations in technology is the retrieval of human egg cell with the use of ultrasound or ultrasonography (USG) with a vaginal probe around the year 1987. This tool is also used to monitor the development of egg cells by measuring the diameter of the egg sac (follicle) that can be seen from the monitor. This painting show that USG monitor appears in the head with pictures of two follicles and vaginal probe. To maintain sterility, the vaginal probe should be wrapped in condom. This tool works with the specifications of a particular sound wave (6.5 MHz) and a certain voltage (220V). The report of the results was described in day column, describing menstrual cycle day and observations of TVS (trans-vaginal sonography). Texts in the columns are: 3rd Day: Date 20 January 08; uterus retroverted, endometrial line thin; Right ovary normal, antral follicle +; left ovary normal, antral follicle +. 13th Day: Date 30 January 08; uterus retroverted, endometrial line 10 mm; Right ovary follicle 22 mm; Left ovary follicle 18 mm. Plan: hCG 5000 IU -> IUI.
