The original flower in white is native to the western Mediterranean region and very common in the fields of my region, Alentejo, Portugal.
In this case the real white flower that you can see below is Cistus ladanifer subsp. ladanifer is native of Portugal.
Common names: gum rockrose, laudanum, common gum cistus, etc. In Portuguese the most common name is "Esteva".
