My Future
Today is my birthday. For the past two weeks I had been so busy with many activites such as taking this photo, editing and waiting to post it on this date. I went to Rezz Room, checked the Marketplace to choose what kind of a pet I want to buy for my birthday present and at the same time asking for my friends's opinion about it. I decided to get a Dachshund as my early present. I told my bestie Geo about it since both of us loves cute stuff. He bought himself a Lion Cub - Simba which was so adorable. Then he asked me what I want for my birthday. I said I don't want anything from him or anyone but he wouldn't stop pestering me. So I brought him to Rezz Room again. He gave me cash and I bought an American Bully which was my first choice before I chose the Dachshund because I thought it has no companion version since it didn't stated at the shop but turn out it comes with everything. I said thank you so much to him profusely hehe... I was so happy and can't stop smiling. But now I feel so sad in fact I cried a little bit last night. I realised my mom is not here to wish me happy birthday anymore like she used to every year or sometime through my sister.
Every year, early in the morning during each of our birthday, my mom would boil us a hard boil egg, peeled the shell, hold it in one hand, wish us happy birthday, give it to us and told us to eat it until it is finished. She said the egg is to symbolise our birthday. I don't understand what she meant back then until I grew up. My mom has many do's and don't's, sometime I have to shake my head in disbelief, it makes me wonder and sometime it made me laughed. For example, she always said, don't step on a broom, it will bring bad luck because it's dirty, if the broom touched her feet, she would spit on it immediately, what the hell LOL. That is one of her "rules" that I incidentally "inherit" from her, Oh Mummy...
I remember the first time I celebrate my birthday when I was three years old. The morning after my sister went to school, my mom took me to a toy shop to buy a birthday present for me. She asked me to choose. So I took one that looks like a bear but made out of plastic (no fur), pink fluorescent in colour with a blue stripe lookalike vest and when I pressed, it will make a cute but annoying / begging sorrowful sound. The sound was so funny that it made me laughed each time I or anyone press it. I was so happy and can't stop kissing it. On the way back, it was raining heavily (I don't know why my life story was always associated with raining), we didn't bring our umbrella. Then a teenage boy wearing a white shirt and a dark blue shorts with an umbrella passed us by. My mom called him and asked for his help to walk us to our building which was on the opposite site. My mom asked me to walk under his umbrella while she walk along by my side with rain pouring her head where she used her hand to shield it. There were one part where we have to descent the small slope to our building and I slipped a little bit while the boy grinned at me. My mom quickly grabbed me and we ran to our building, we said thank you and he left.
That evening, when my dad came back from work, my mom who was busy preparing for our birthday dinner celebration told him about "my umbrella's boyfriend". Both of them were teasing me and I was so mad I cried, I said I will never have a boyfriend in between tears. My dad, said oh you will have a lot of boyfriends in the future and I cried again hehe.. Anyway, my dad invited a few of his colleague to celebrate our birthday, yes we shared the same birthday date. After we ate our dinner, they clear the table and my mom brought the cake from the kitchen (I don't remember who bought it, I think it must be my mom or my dad after he got off from work). It was a round shape cake, with white icing cream and yellow base colour. My mom put the cake on the table, I was so excited. My dad put me on the table (because I was small) next to a cake and everyone gathered around the table. I saw my eldest sister standing next to the table trying so hard to make her head higher. My mom lit the candles and switched off the light. The cake look so bright and beautiful, we all sang happy birthday together. Then my dad and I blew the candles and everyone clap their hands........
Happy birthday to you too dear Daddy, no matter what or whatever you did in the past, I still love you, you will always and forever be in my heart after all you were my dad, part of me, my story, my journey and my memory....
I hope I see you in heaven too but a different you....

'Cause I, I'm in love
With my future
Can't wait to meet her
And I (I), I'm in love
But not with anybody else
Just wanna get to know myself
