Fluid Art XIII-VI
Strobist info: two Canon Speedlite, one with a red gel aimed at a dark gray background paper sheet and one on the left with a small softbox. Another white paper sheet is also placed at the top right to add come reflection in the water thin film. Colors are slightly shifted in PP.
Fluid Art technique: a StopShot device with an electronic valve is used to produce the water drops with a very precise timing. Everything is frozen by the 1/30000s flash from the two Canon 580EX II Speedlite @ 1/64 or 1/128 power. Some thickener (Xanthan gum here) and surfactant (rince aid) is added into the water to produce amazingly shaped collisions. A lot of patience, practice and... luck is required as well: quite fun to do and sometimes frustrating :)
