♣ Bathed in stage lights, the backstage is where the magic begins ♣

Before the show began... The backstage has always been Ruby's favorite part. Just minutes before her performance, when either everyone else is minding their own business or they are all gone, Ruby likes to sit on the floor, next to her chest of toys and curiosities, enjoying the silence and that sweet tension before the real excitement begins. While the backstage was bathed in the colorful stage lights filtering from behind the half-ajar doors, she slowly tied her laces and whispered to me:

 

"You know, it's all about the anticipation, before it all happens. I love to be alone in these moments, using all my senses to feel the lights, the sounds and all the energy here tonight, capturing us and the audience in the unique magical world of the show, that won't exist tomorrow or any other night. Then, I feel so grateful to be able to see and feel all of this. And then, I realize that I am the star of the show..."

 

The prettiest stage lights were nothing compared to the smile on her face when she said that last sentence ^_^ She got up, all ready, sweet like an angel, and she ran. To the stage, to her happiness...♥
