Yuri: “So what did you wish to discuss with us, Z? You sounded quite anxious on the phone.”

 

Z: “Umm…*chews quickly, swallows* Yeah, okay, so I’m about to ask the impossible, but I figure if anyone can help me pull it off, it’s you two.”

 

Yuri: “Bank heist?”

 

Kumi: “Nuh-uh, sex change.”

 

Z: “Ha-ha. No. I need you to help me plan a wedding for Emma in the next week and a half. I cleared it with Dan and Can, and we’re making their ceremony into a two for one deal. The only catch is no one can tell Emma until we get down to Hawaii. I figure she’ll be the first bride in history to have a surprise wedding. *grins cheerily* Yeah, this is gonna be epic.”

 

Yuri & Kumi: *stare at Z, utterly dumbstruck*

 

Z: “Well, actually, we wouldn’t have to plan an entire wedding or anything. It’ll be the same guest list since most of the people invited to Dan and Can’s shindig would be invited to ours too. Pretty cool, huh? And we’ll be sharing the reception…”

 

Yuri & Kumi: *still staring, mouths hanging open*

 

Z: “I figure the biggest hurdle is getting Em the perfect dress, which Candy assures me is the most important thing, so I don’t wanna screw it up. I snuck Em’s wish book outta the house, which has a bunch of pictures of dresses she likes, and…*pulls a slip of paper out of his pocket* I have the measurements they took for her bridesmaid’s dress, so I thought you two could take it from here.”

 

Yuri & Kumi: *blink*

 

Z: “You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you two speechless before. Kinda creepy. Not diggin’ it.”

 

Yuri (faintly): “Why…why are you doing this?”

 

Z (earnestly): “Because, until a few days ago, I hadn’t realized how much Emma wanted a wedding. It’s totally my fault, too. All the signs were there, but I was an asshat and missed them, so I’m trying to make it up to her. She’s my girl and deserves her day sooner rather than later. So…will you help me do this for her?”

 

Yuri: *bursts into tears, throws her arms around Z’s neck, and blubbers into his chest* “You…are the s-s-sweetest boy in the e-e-entire world!”

 

Z (totally freaked): “Oh, geez! Can we go back to speechless and creepy, please?! At least it was dry.”

 

Kumi: *stares at the wall, trying valiantly not to cry, too*

 

Z: “Aw, hell, Kumi! Come on! Not you too! I’m totally losing all respect for you right now!”

 

Kumi: *mutters* “Shut up. I got some flour in my eye is all!”

 

Z: “Whatever.”
