Simon: “So, you did sic him on us, huh? Not nice, Candy. Now, him I’d like to bleed dry.”

 

Candy: “He’s, uh, really not that bad once you get to know him—kind of sweet, actually.”

 

Simon: “Let’s get this straight, I will not be ‘getting to know’ Jonathan. The next time I see him, I’ll be very uncivilized all over his pretty-boy face. Pass it along, yeah?”

 

Candy: “I’ll talk to him.”

 

Simon (severely): “Oh, and Candy, if I find out you’ve lied to me about stopping; I’ll make you dreadfully sorry. You may consider this your final warning. If you pull anything else that I deem even slightly inappropriate, I will hurt you. Not physically, of course—my mum taught me better than that—but there are more insidious ways of inflicting suffering than bumps and bruises. You should know that very well. Remember, I’m [i]not[/i] Luke. I can be a cruel bastard, and I’ll hurt you if you make me. Understand?”
