“The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Launched the Nations largest rocket today, from Complex 37 at ?:22 A.M. EST. The 190 Foot SA-7 weighing 1,126,000 pounds at Lift Off, will place 36,700 pounds in orbit, with a perigee of 115 Statute Miles, an apogee of 135 Statute Miles.
The “BOILERPLATE” model of the Apollo Command and Service Modules is expected to re-enter at the end of the third day. As did the SA-6 Payload.”
As usual, use of proper grammar & punctuation was an unexpected bonus, not a prerequisite for sitting at the typewriter. At least it’s informative. Some of it maybe even correct.
I confess to not reading enough, so I may have missed it; however, I have not come across something in writing, by anyone with legitimate credentials, that addresses, lauds, highlights, etc., the unparalleled (I think) success of the unmanned Saturn/Apollo test flights, to include AS-201 & 202. Under what I assume was constant & unbelievable pressure.
And IMHO, they were the rocket equivalent to the original “muscle cars”. I mean look at it - totally Boss. 😉👍
