Circa 1971/72, possibly Phase-B, probable contractor artist’s concept of a space shuttle during ascent. Along with the wing- and vertical stabilizer-tipped Reaction Control System (RCS) thrusters, note the Titan-IIIC Solid Rocket Motor/Booster (SRM/SRB) paint-scheme.
I’ve not seen this particular artwork before, along with many many others, as there were plenty. However, its relative uniqueness & SRM/SRB appearance might indicate it originating from the Martin Marietta Corporation/United Technology Corporation, manufacturers (or at least one of them) of the Titan-IIIC SRM/SRB. Maybe?
My first attempt at scanning a transparency. I tried my damnedest to accurately capture its appearance.
