Charlie Duke's "locator" photo to the Rover of the Great Sneak sample site at Station 9.
"Great Sneak"...what's that you (may) ask? Well...
John Young approached the boulder slowly and carefully - in what came to be known as the Great Sneak - so as not to kick soil onto the target area, then reach over the boulder and press the sampler gently onto the soil surface on the side of the boulder away from the LM and the LRV. The idea being to collect a pristine sample of the very topmost soil layer.
Above per the ALSJ.
