“On its way to Huntsville, Ala., is this Saturn 1B Booster, which was wrapped for shipment to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s George C. Marshall Space Flight Center Saturday at the Chrysler Corporation’s Michoud Space Division. It’s the first Saturn 1B booster shipped from here. Earlier, a Michoud-built Saturn 1 booster (S-I-8) was shipped to Cape Kennedy for launching. The 90,000-pound S-1B booster, measuring 21 feet in diameter and 80 feet in length, will be carried by NASA barge Palaemon up the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee Rivers to Huntsville.”

I love the daguerreotype appearance, especially with the bicycles. Looks like President Lincoln should be somewhere in the photo.
