As part of Honourable Minister K. Kannababu’s (Minister Agriculture and Cooperation - GoAP) visit to Anantapuram district, he visited Sri Chinnakadaraiah Swamy FPO in Marur village of Rapthadu Mandal. He interacted with BoD of FPO and Y.V. Mallareddy garu explained to him about the progress made by the FPO. He also went around the stalls exhibited on ZBNF, CHC, farmers shop, farmer mechanization etc. He enquired with the members about demand for farm ponds, process for using CHC equipment, contribution/loan mobilization by the FPO etc.
Sri.H.Arunkumar Spl.Commissioner Agriculture, Sri.Shankar Narayan - B.C.Welfare Minister, Sri. Gorantla Madhav garu(MP), Sri. T.Prakash Reddy garu (MLA), Sri. Kapu Ramachandra Reddy garu (whip) accompanied the minister.
The honourable minister announced that if the local people’s representatives were willing, the government was willing to promote two FPO run food processing units. He promised sanctioning of 36 mandal godowns. The government is extending full support to FPOs and strengthening them. (January 31, 2020)
