Sever Hall
Sever Hall in Harvard Yard. It was designed by noted architect H.H. Richardson and opened in 1880. One morning in 1965 I was going up a staircase here when the girl in front of me, who was carrying an armload of books, realized what everyone else could see -- that the back of her dress was completely open. All that showed was skin. She turned and calmly asked if I could zip her up.
