Extereme Hilll Caldera

Now this valley with a central peak and floating island at cloud level reminds me of a old volcanic and weathered cauldera that exists close (few hundred Km from where I live.

 

It is very hard to get into and out of this valley. And is the sort of Epicness I am looking for for my Midworld base.
