This building, the chapel of Divine Wisdom on the campus of Rome's university, "La Sapienza", was paid for by Pius XII and built by Marcello Piacentini in 1950-1. Even after the fall of Fascism, architects like Piacentini, demolition men and Fascists though they were, continued to dominate the architectural scene in the capital.
