Personalizing the bike frame with string art
Weaving patterns out of string, macrame, has a lot of history. It blossomed in the 1960s and 1970s, although is seldom seen in 2024. This example, parked at the library covers the backend of a bicycle, attached to the fender by means of binder clips (bulldog clips). So long as everything stays in place, this is a thing of beauty. But if or when a corner comes loose and catches in the spinning rear tire, then it ceases to be beautiful and instead is a horror.
