Zig-zag bridge to one of three Japanese garden islands
Dull light to the north of Chicago in the town of Glencoe, home to the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Around lunchtime on this Friday before the holiday weekend there were only 50 or 60 cars in the parking lot, and maybe a dozen people on the grounds to cross paths with all together. There was almost no wind to disturb the waters surrounding the walkways around each island of the Japanese garden section of the 385-acre CBG property along the Skokie marsh and creek, not too far from the Lake Michigan shoreline and microclimate.
