Fruit Ninja, Sneak Attack-Jutsu! [44/52]
I've been doing a lot of reading as of late. I was looking through one of my many boxes of books last week (I loved reading in high school), and stumbled upon a book by Tom Clancy titled Rainbow Six. I never got around to reading it when I bought it at a local used book store many years ago. Now that I am 400 pages in, I can say it is a typical Tom Clancy war-time novel ... though this particular books seems to deal in [counter] terrorism. Great stuff.
I also spent Saturday in Half Moon Bay. Some of my Saturday anyways. I spent some time in a small cozy bookstore called Ocean Books. They deal only in used and out of print books, needless to say that they have some interesting things on their shelves. I found a little book titled, The Birth of the Mind. I'm barely into it at the moment (yes, I am reading two books at the simultaneously), but it is really interesting. Check it out on Amazon (linked) for a quick synopsis. More of a science type book though. And best of all ... I got a mint condition copy, that could be mistaken for new, for $6. Win.
This is a weird installment. I'm not sure how even, I, feel about it. I was aiming for a Fruit Ninja-esque theme. You know, that popular iPhone, iTouch, iPad app where you just slice 'n dice those fruits all day long. Knocking them out. *shing shing shing*
I would've have used something softer, like a tomahto, but I wasn't in the mood to clean up a mess, so I used a stiffer fruit. I gave this shot 74 tries, and chose the best out of the batch.
Fruit ninja is a nice game when you're bored, and not much else is going on, or if you're looking to burn a couple minutes while waiting for something, or someone.
Lighting: Canon 430EX into QBox gridded @ 1/2, Speedlite @ 1/16 shoot thru, Speedlite @ 1/4 gelled (x2 Honl), triggered via poverty wizards
I was tempted to use blue gels (my favorite!) as I did many weeks back, but instead opted for a more ... "exuberant" color :)
