2400 Steiner Street, left, designed by Willis Polk.
Description of 2400 and 2402 Steiner Street from Here Today - San Francisco's Architectural Heritage, Roger R. Olmstead/ Junior League of San Francisco, Inc.: "Although quite different in materials and concept, these two houses were both done by Willis Polk. the house at 2400 is a gabled, shingled English-style house. The house at 2402 is a tall, narrow house with some half-timbering, leaded windows, convoluted colonettes and a whimsical carved gable end."
