Vacancy for Senior Executive - Communications in adidas (Malaysia), Damansara Heights HQ;

 

Job Description

· Reporting to the Brand Manager, responsible for all of adidas Malaysia's communication matters

 

· Formulation and monitoring the implementation of advertising strategies, making sure they are both cost effective and cost efficient as well as compatible with overall communications message

 

· Involved in planning and managing Marketing Working Budget for Advertising and PR

 

· Responsible for managing the full spectrum of PR and communications activities in coordination with Marketing and Sales Department

 

· Handling all PR aspect for the brand such as developing PR materials (eg; writing press releases, speeches) as well as updating and building rapport with members of the media

 

· Planning and implementation of press conferences, launches, fashion shows and promotions with media (mainly local magazine publications)

 

· Plan and manage feedback from market via market research, focus groups and market observation to provide information which facilitate internal decision making

 

· Analyze media on competitor's advertising, promotion and PR activities as well as update management, sales and marketing department on these activities on a monthly basis

 

Requirements

- relevant Degree

- experience necessary

- having existing media contacts would be useful

- proactive, independent and go-getter

- sociable and able to adapt to new situations easily

- able to start work preferably by August so that the current person can do a proper handover

 

We're a very young team with an average age of 29 and the brand manager is one of the best bosses I (the current Senior Exec -Comm who'll be leaving) have ever had in my past 8 years of working (not only in adidas but other companies as well).
