Mermaid

I shot this back in February. I know a mermaid in a bath tub is nothing new but I saw this shower room with a bath in @fdphotostudio_ny and couldn't resist. Mermaids have always been on my list. "The little Mermaid" was my favorite Disney animation and I've always been fascinated by magical creatures.

 

Moral of the story: everything has been invented before. We use art as inspiration and draw on different influences and artists. And it's totally ok. We just need to make sure we don't copy but rather use it to kickstart an idea, create our interpretation and translate it in our own way.
