A quantum keep

home from home

safe from harm

an eye-catching ideal

with no discourteous qualm

 

needing no tags

free from comment

within it's own world

left in rural peace

so no societal ills may be hurled

 

just let it be

don't try to alter

or shape what's already extant

this is already a world

unto which lives the life so contemplant

 

now it can be seen

an extemporal refuelling

before inflationary leaks

record a 9-year high

stagnating within weeks

 

I wish to part

with so much of life's otiosioty

returning to my roots

oscillating between then and now

settling where it best suits

 

every individual's prerogative

that equal measure of life

a broader outlook in solace

verdant thoughts unenclosed

now free and able to retrace

 

the heart of generations linked

by a foot within the step of passing

taking the very hand of guidance

through glades and combe's

like a play upon the brood's furtherance

 

thank Heaven's for the premorse of yesterday

allowing the present to continue it's retrace

of kith and kin and where it's been

the rock of spirit is a well-weathered sacrament

for looking-back allows the next step to be better seen.
