GOC Berkhamsted & Frithsden 057: Ashridge House, Little Gaddesden

Ashridge House, which houses Ashridge Executive Education (formerly Ashridge Management College and Ashridge Business School), Little Gaddesden, Hertfordshire (Grade I). The building was originally a country house dating to 1808–25, when it was rebuilt in the Gothic style on the site of a monastery of 1283 that became a royal residence following the dissolution of the monasteries in 1539 and then a private house. It became It became Ashridge Business School in 1959 (see history.

 

GOC Hertfordshire's walk on 11 June 2016, in and around Berkhamstead, Nettleden, Frithsden and the Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire. Martin T led this 9.7-mile walk, attended by 14 people.
