Steaming The Cube
I'm released on my own recognizance at about 7:45 or so. It is hot. Hot, hot hot. Not "latin dance extravaganza" hot. I mean, ten paces down the street and you're slightly drier than you would be if you were scuba diving hot. The humidity was oppressive and overall it was so damned unpleasant that I just kept my blazer on. I'm going to be hot and wet and uncomfortable no matter what I'm wearing...at least the jacket would make me look kind of good, and it'd sop up some of the sweat.
Suffice to say that the landmark Apple Cube looks less futuristic and awe-inspiring on a day like this, when it's been lathered in the squeezings of the city.
