Quairrig

Another gem from Scotland. We stayed about 15 minutes away, in Portree, and this was shot on the way to Neist Point. Time is about 8:00PM, so you are starting to get some harsher shadowing and nice tonality. This is looking East, so I have the sun setting behind me to the left. If you think quintessential Scotland, this is it.

A day later, I had tried for a sunrise shot, at about 0300-0400, but we ran into usual Skye weather of rain, overcast and very windy (~50mph), preventing any shot of this.

The Quiraing is a landslip on the eastern face of Meall na Suiramach, the northernmost summit of the Trotternish on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quiraing
