The aircraft was built in 2007 and carried the test reg. PT-SJN. It was originally delivered as HK-4456-X to Aero Republica Colombia on 24-1-2007.

Later delivered as HK-4456 to COPA Airlines Colombia on 8-10-2010.

It was withdrawn from service in May 2019 and stored as N974AZ.

WDL Aviation were next to operate the aircraft - they took delivery as D-AWSI on 13-6-2019.

German Airways took delivery on 17-12-2020.
