Between the Land and the Sky

Last Friday's forecast looked good for early conditions, and the journey up the M1 promised well.

 

However, a large bank of cloud was sitting over the west of the Peak District, and after a bit of dithering I opted for Lathkill Dale as all west looked dark. The early light was good as the sun crept above the horizon before slipping into the cloud for a while. The cloud didn't last long and then it got hot
