Blea Tarn
Langdale Pikes showing their distinctive skyline above Blea Tarn. A shooting star can be seen just above the pikes - Ididn't see it by eye, but a 20s exposure shows up more than the eye sees
Having had a long day previously, and having things to do back home, meant that I'd fallen asleep by 8pm the night before so was awake at 2am. I'd thought about this shot previously, and the almost dead calm gave reflections of the stars. The orange skyline glow is from Keswick (i'm guessing). I managed to get one or two of the rocks in the tarn in shot - it was pitch dark when I was there and couldn't see further than the range of my headtorch
