Thor’s Cave at Dawn

I’d arranged to meet family in Derbyshire for a walk yesterday, but the predicted chaos of the M1 closure made me set off early (even at 4am the queues were substantial).

 

The forecast was mixed, so I planned to reccee this often visited spot on Ecton Hill for a future visit. However clearing skies created some valley mist which thickened after sunrise and flowed down the Manifold valley
