Dovedale

A rash of footprints around the stepping stones lead me to think the snow would be churned up all through the valley, but by Lovers Leap they had vanished, and apart from a solitary row of fox prints I was the first through to Milldale

 

November snow from five years ago. This fall seemed to take everyone by surprise and road conditions were so bad I bailed out at Thorpe instead of trying for further north
