High Horizon
The problem with this shot is that the high skyline delays sunrise (20-30 mins after quoted time) and when the sun does make an appearance its already getting a bit intense.The horizon dips slightly in the centre of this shot as the valley swings to the left, and I'd been trying to calculate when the sun would rise at this lowest point (and hence a bit closer to sunrise)
I think it'll be another 10-14 days before the sun appears at the low spot (at present sunrise a little too north).It was still worth a visit though - just to check!!
