Studland Bay
Looking our towards Old Harry Rocks as the waves wash in.
Old Harry Rocks are chalk stacks located directly east of Studland Bay and to the north of Swanage in Dorset. The rocks are part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site of which they form the eastern end. It is also believed that the rocks were once connected to The Needles on the Isle of Wight.
The video for the Coldplay single 'Yellow' was filmed on this beach. The beach, with Bournemouth in the background, was also the setting of the opening scene from the first episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus with Michael Palin staggering out of the shallow sea and collapsing on the beach saying 'It's...'.
