Andrew Wertheimer says: I was happy to find this by searching Reading in Hawaii. That clock brought back many elementary school memories. No wonder I like analog.

Andrew Wertheimer says: OK, she's writing rather than reading... but I love this photo. Japanese cafes are amazing to begin with, but Moaan and his Leica do an amazing job of capturing this beautiful light. Of course, she is beautiful and has great style too. I am sure that had nothing to do with my choice of this photo. :)

Andrew Wertheimer says: I see many scenes like this. I hesitate to take such a photo as it might seem like disrespect somehow, but this is great.

Andrew Wertheimer says: Such a cool photo. Yes, guys can have style too. Interesting book jacket, hat, flowers, tetsubin, expression. Great photo. I don't know Mr. Darling unless he is the same person who writes books about whales. (I think one of my students reviewed a book by him).

Andrew Wertheimer says: Again, I was excited to see more reading going on in Hawaii.... even if it means I might have to wait longer for a food order. We don't really have "fast food" in Hawaii (junk food yes, but not really served quickly).

Andrew Wertheimer says: Tohru has captured another reader in Tokyo as he documents his commute. I am always curious what people are reading. Japanese readers often use a generic bookstore's or publisher's book cover so I can't tell if they are reading manga or poetry or.... Tohru has taken us on the inside.
