Yellow dung fly - Drekvlieg
A very common fly (body 8mm, Scatophaga stercoraria, Diptera, Scatophagidae), often seen feeding on feces or hunting other flies visiting feces (July 2015, Boom, Belgium, sweepnet).
Studio work (in a greenhouse), specimen was staged on old grass stem.
Focus stack based on 117 images, assembled in Zerene Stacker (Pmax & Dmap). Canon 5Dmkii, MP-E 65mm at 1.5x, ISO-100, f/5, 1/4s, -0.3 step, natural light and a bit of dayLED light. Cropped (image ca 18mm wide).
