La Maison du Gouffre o "la casa tra le rocce", è un affascinante cottage incastonato tra due enormi rocce frastagliate che ha attirato turisti nel paesino altrimenti tranquillo di Plougrescant, situato nel dipartimento della Côtes-d'Armor nella regione della Bretagna, in Francia, dal XIX secolo. La casa ha le spalle rivolte al mare, dal quale il suo proprietario ha cercato di proteggerla costruendo la casa in una culla tra i due scogli per ripararla dalle violente tempeste che caratterizzano questo luogo. La casetta fu costruita nel 1861, in un'epoca in cui non esistevano i permessi di costruzione, dove chiunque poteva costruire a piacimento.
La Maison du Gouffre or “the house between the rocks”, is a charming cottage wedged between two huge jagged rocks that has been drawing tourists to the otherwise quiet little village of Plougrescant, located in the department of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Brittany, in France, since the 19th century. The house has her back turned towards the sea, against which her owner sought to protect her by building the house in a cradle between the two rocks to shield her from the violent storms that frequent this place. The tiny house was built in 1861, at a time when building permits did not exist, where anyone could build at will.
