Frazione di Riomaggiore, Manarola è un gioiello urbanistico, ricca com’è delle tipiche case-torri, di stile genovese. Fondato durante il XII secolo, il borgo deriva probabilmente il suo nome da un’antica "magna roea", una grande ruota di mulino presente in paese.
