'Au bonheur des dames' kimono exhibition at the Musee Guimet

 

For me this was perhaps the most interesting thing in the exhibition. It is not beautiful, it is not art, but the stitching of a patch on to a piece of cloth makes you feel so close to the real life of a century or two ago.
