Looking back on it, '30' was really good to me - meeting lifelong friends for the first time, an expanding in my style of collecting, a general surer sense of self - and with my having a monday birthday it's overall been very low-key, which is what I can only hope is a sign that this year will be even better than the last one.
After years of pressuring myself over what has or hasn't been done, the goals I met later than I wanted or just being too hard on myself in general I'm finally starting to learn how to relax my impossibly high self standards to live a fuller life.
I'm not what 31 holds for me but if it's anything like 30 I welcome it fully.
