Chinon Infrafocus 35F-MA

This Chinon 35F-MA is a fine and upstanding member of the group of vintage point and shoot cameras that feature a fixed focal length 38mm f/2.8 lens. It offers auto focus and a built-in motor drive. The camera is powered on or off using the wheel around the shutter release button. Aside from OFF or A mode, it offers a self timer setting and a battery check. ASA goes from 25 to 400. One particularly nice feature is that the flash never goes off automatically - you need to press the flash button on the front of the camera to pop up the flash before use.

Also note, I am such a fan of this class of vintage film cameras, that many years ago I created a group I named "The 38/2.8 Lounge". So if you have a camera with a 38mm f/2.8 lens, I would invite you to check out that group:

Photo taken with an Olympus OM-D E-M1 and Auto Chinon 50mm f/1.9 lens with Fotodiox PK-m4/3 adapter. [Note that when photographing film gear with a modern digital camera, I will often choose to use a lens by the same manufacturer whenever possible.]
