I don't have the patience to do bird photography - way too tedious for me. But this woodpecker happened along at just the right time, landing on this headstone in front of me. I also very seldom shoot with telephoto lenses, but happened to be out with a 70-210mm lens (attempting to force myself to see differently). So it was good luck on both accounts.
