"Don't fire 'til you see the whites of their eyes!"

Statue of Colonel William Prescott at the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown, Boston, USA. He is supposedly known for saying "Don't fire 'til you see the whites of their eyes" during the Battle of Bunker Hill during the Revolutionary War. But some quick fact checking on this does show there is some controversy as to whether he actually said this.
