Yarmouth Town Landing, 2019

Photo taken with a Kodak Master View 4x5 camera and Schneider-Kreuznach Super-Angulon 90mm F8 lens using Ilford Multigrade IV RC photo paper (paper negative). This was one of my paper neg tests in 4x5 that is part of my effort to ultimately shoot some landscape photos this way using the R.O.C. Ideal 10x12 camera. It's a real challenge getting exposure and contrast right with paper since it's really not made to do this. One has to pre-flash the paper in the darkroom to help avoid blown out whites. And even though I did that here, you can see some of the whites are blown out anyway - like the hull of the boat docked near the middle of the photo. But with more practice this upcoming season, I'm hoping to nail this. And if I can't 'nail it', I'll have fun trying.
