Re-Tapping, M6
The original portafilter had an M6 bolt that was (inexcusably) not stainless steel, and had rusted and broken off flush in the brass casting. I drilled it out, got as much of the old bolt out as possible, and drilled 5mm for the M6 tap. Fortunately, I have M6 taps in taper, intermediate and plug (bottoming) types.
