Fluke 8600A ROM Chip

This is the cause of the range selection problem in the Fluke 8600A multimeter. The ROM chip is part of the range selection mechanism and it has two pins that have become so corroded that they've broken off. The corrosion may be due to the 40-year-old NiCad batteries nearby. I can't simply replace the chip, so I'll probably solder it to a DIL carrier and insert that into a replacement socket on the PCB. I may even change all the other sockets in the instrument too.
