Etched and rinsed

The first sign of good etching in ferric chloride is the copper area turning a bright "salmon" pink. Then, after nine minutes, the first areas of copper were etched through. Full etching took about 12 minutes. This photo shows the PCB rinsed off and dried. The toner areas have become lighter coloured, but the Sharpie ink has remained black.
