Still Under Siege_1

View from the city walls as Loyalists prepare a bonfire in the Fountain estate in Derry. This is part of the celebrations held by The Apprentice Boys every 13 August to celebrate the relief of the city in 1691. The Fountain estate is a small Protestant/Loyalist enclave on the Nationalist/Catholic west side of the city and is the only remaining Protestant area on the western side of the River Foyle.
