This is part of the celebrations held by The Apprentice Boys every 13 August to celebrate the relief of the city in 1691. The Fountain estate is a small Protestant/Loyalist enclave on the Nationalist/Catholic west side of the city and is the only remaining Protestant area on the western side of the River Foyle.
