Wimpled Head

Holy Trinity at Long Itchington is an attractive building dominated by it's tall west tower, once crowned by a spire of which only the stump remains (the est having succumbed to a storm in 1762).

The present building combines elements from the 12th to the 15th centuries, the best part being the chancel which is a good example of early gothic architecture from c1300.

Within the building is spacious and light (stained glass is mostly absent), the best surviving medieval furnishing is the 14th century wooden rood screen with unusual rounded arches.
